May Newsletter & Recital News

Hi Everyone!  Recital is fast approaching so this issue will contain everything you need to know (hopefully) about recital!  Always remember if you have any questions feel free to call Kari 708-1608 or Lavonne 727-4484.  Remember, as we wind down to the final four weeks until recital, teachers are trying to finish up dances and it is extremely important for everyone to be in class.  The recital is going to be a lot fun for the kids this year as little girls get to share the stage with the big girls and they all love that. 

Account Balances

All accounts must be paid in full in order for your child to participate in recital.  Balance statements will go out on May 2^nd.  Please pay all balances before May 15^th.  Unpaid balances may result in your child being removed from the recital.  All of the kids have worked so hard and we do not want to see this happen. 

Parent Watch/Costume Week

Costume distribution and parent watch week will be May 16 – 21  come out and watch what your children have been working on and pick up costumes.  Plan to stay for the entire class as all information for make-up, hair, pictures etc will be handed out at that time

Volunteers

We will need Volunteers for various tasks during recital.  Please look for the signup sheets at the studio and help out where you can.  All help is greatly appreciated!  J

Recital Week Schedule

May 31^st  - Make- up class for Pre-dance , Tap 2/3 and Jazz 3 (all classes at normal times)

                     Individual pictures – times and signup sheet available at studio

June 1^st – Tech rehearsal at the studio – 6pm –full costume and make-up/hair

Group pictures – all group pictures will be taken immediately after each class dance. Specific Arrival times TBA

June 2^nd – Dress Rehearsal at the Fox – 7pm--arrival times for dancers will be handed out with

                    Recital info during Parent watch week. 

June 3^rd – Performance – 7pm--Arrival times for dancers TBA

June 4^th – Performance – 7pm--Arrival times for dancers TBA

Recital T’s

Examples of this year’s T-shirt are available at the Studio.  There is a sign up form with costs and deadlines on the desk.  This year we are pleased to have Jordan sports providing T-shirts for us.  The Dynamic Dance Company has already purchased shirts and they have proven to be nice quality!  Get your orders in soon! 

The following is a list of items your child will need for recital: 

Please Let us know by May 15^th if you need shoes or tights.  All items must be paid for prior to ordering. 

Pictures & Video

Last year we had a great response to the photo CD package that we offered.  This year we will again have pictures in the CD package format.  Each CD will contain class pictures, individual pictures and performance stage shots for each class your child is in.  We will also be filming the show and selling DVD’s. There will be no videotaping allowed during the performances. Our purpose in providing these services is to bring in a little extra income to help cover recital costs and to lower the cost of these normally expensive extras, so that more families can share the memories of a great year! Price info will be provided during Parent Watch week. 

Ticket Sales

Tickets will be available beginning May 31^st.  Cost per ticket is:

Children 3 and under - free

5.00 – children under 12

7.00 – Adults

Parent tickets may be purchased for 10.00 and will allow admission to both nights.  Parent tickets are limited to 2 per household.
